welcome to kasey curtis therapy
It’s time to reconnect with your true self.
I can help with: addressing various types of anxiety or panic, challenges with food, and trauma.
If you’re feeling anxious, lost, confused, or stuck,
You’re in the right place.
Does any of this sound like you?
You’re tired of feeling anxious so often, or getting panicky at unexpected times. You are starting to fear feeling anxious or having panic attacks and this makes you avoid doing things you used to enjoy.
*****
You’re worn out by feeling stressed about food-what to eat, how to eat. Why is this so confusing? Feeling guilty and shameful about your food habits makes this struggle all the more challenging.
*****
You wish the past would actually be in the past, but it feels like it still has you in it’s grip.
*****
There was a time when getting through the day didn’t feel like such a struggle. You had energy for life, relationships and adventures. You felt content, and had some level of confidence in yourself.
Right now, that feels like a distant memory.
I’m here to help.
I’m Kasey, and I’m here to walk alongside you in this process of exploration.
All of these issues can have the effect of making you forget who you really are inside, forget how to trust yourself, and start looking outside of yourself for solutions. They can make it hard to enjoy life, or remember what direction you wanted to go.
I work with people like you—those who are ready to break free from the cycle of anxiety, panic, disordered eating and the effects of past trauma.
You’re ready to thrive again, but just need a little support to get there.
Together, we’ll dig deeper to learn from the symptoms and understand why they are happening, identify the tools that will help you move forward, and heal what needs to be healed in order to break the cycle.
You don’t have to stay stuck. It’s possible to feel like yourself again.
I BELIEVE
Symptoms are messengers, and together we can decode them.
Together, we will help you:
Understand and manage anxiety and panic
Build a healthier relationship with food
Heal from past trauma and its impact on your present
Cultivate self-compassion and reduce self criticism
With therapy that:
Goes. deeper than the surface
Provides practical tools to feel more grounded daily
Helps you learn to relate differently to yourself and your challenges
Addresses the root causes for real, lasting change
My guiding principles
Safety
Sometimes in therapy we talk about very difficult things. I can promise that I will never judge you or shame you for anything that you share. Hopefully in time, I will also help you feel more safe with your emotions in your body, and less judgmental with yourself.
Individualized
Through the practice of listening deeply, making sure I understand you, we are able to implement the strategies that suit you the best.
Transparency
It’s important to dismantle a power differential between us, so I make sure to communicate my thoughts, policies and procedures with you so you have the information you need to make the best decision for yourself. The highest priority is placed on your well-being.
All Parts Are Welcome
Even though you may be frustrated with things you are experiencing, all parts of you are welcome in therapy. Each part has something important to say, and I look forward to hearing from them all.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an evidence based treatment that can help reprocess deeply ingrained patterns of feeling or believing. By working through the original place where certain thoughts or feelings began, we can start to undo the lasting effects of painful experiences.

Exploring the inner conflicts and unmet needs of the various parts of yourself can lead to greater insights, understanding, relief, and new directions.

Life doesn’t just happen in your head, but your body stores your experiences and emotions. It is important to take the body into account in therapy. Becoming more connected to your body (in a safe way) can help release the pain of the past and find more balance in the present.

Inside the Therapy Room:
In our therapy sessions, I bring a blend of lightness, creativity, and humor, while also being fully present for the difficult or darker moments. I believe acceptance is the foundation for change. I’m here to help you hold the hard things, witness what needs to be seen, and facilitate forward movement in a gentle way.
Outside of Therapy:
I’m a California native with a deep love for music, nature, travel and exploration. Having lived in various places, I’m always fascinated by how different cultures and experiences shape our worldview. I’m a fan of adventure—especially backpacking to tropical islands—and find joy in discovering new corners of the world. I’m an optimistic and hopeful person, but I also have a dark sense of humor.
Two facts about me: I am half Mexican, but I learned most of my Spanish language skills in school. And, I don’t believe there’s such a thing as too many books (as my unread pile of books can attest).
